Nicot is a research scientist at the Plant Pathology unit of the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) in Avignon, France. She managed many European and International projects in the field of plant disease management, biological and integrated control of diseases, crop biosecurity, effect of climate change on plant diseases and sustainable agriculture. Past-President of the Italian Society for Crop Protection (A.I.P.P.) and of the Italian Association of the Agricultural Scientific Societies (AISSA) and currently President of the Italian Society of Plant Pathology (SIPaV).
